Thank you, God, for beer, dogs, and and the U.S. Marines. The Marines are one of the great inventions of the world. But then so is the supermarket. The other day I purchased a toothbrush, bread, wine, the Union Leader newspaper, and Rose's Lime Juice in the small supermarket in Center Harbor, E.M. Heath's.
That's where I met my wife. I worked in the deli, and she worked in the bakery. I wiped some frosting off her cheek. For once in my life I guess I acted like an alpha male. And look what it got me! A marriage and four children!
