Denis Boyles explains why it's Strike Two for France. Two words: labor unions. Another thing these excessive welfare states need to realize is that retirement can't come early any more. Learn from Germany, where her workers have agreed to work until 67. That's about the time I plan on retiring.

My father took early retirement when he was 62 (about six years ago). My mother just retired at age 65. I think you see a trend there. I hope you do.
